Very few of our close associates, partners and students know that VSDOpen was first ever online VLSI conference started in 2018 in association ACM-SIGDA and Prof. Vijaykrishnan Narayanan Penn University and SIGDA Chairperson planted this seed of Online conference.
Prof. David Patterson from Google and Univ. of Berkeley and Mohamed Kassem from Efabless were our first ever Keynote Speakers who liked and encouraged the idea of VSDOpen2018
Only because of tier1 VLSI industry and premium University faculties support, VSDOpen have even started back in 2018.
My experience with young semiconductor industry, those who are in early 20s and 30s, is that they have no time for degree show-off. All they need is knowledge and freedom to work with peers across borders. I am also in my 30s, and I want that too
