Hi
I am excited to share my recent experience with a remarkable group of faculty members during the 12-day AICTE Training And Learning (ATAL) Academy program, conducted in collaboration with RV College Of Engineering. It was truly inspiring to witness the enthusiasm and dedication of
the professors who are poised to become the next generation of VLSI and Semiconductor education evangelists across top Visvesvaraya Technological University colleges. These educators are now equipped to carry forward the program in their respective institutions, thereby fostering a pyramid of semiconductor talent - a much-needed initiative for the future.
The passion and energy
exhibited by all the professors during the lab-intensive sessions were nothing short of amazing. I am delighted to report that everyone successfully completed the labs as expected, which is a testament to their commitment to hands-on learning.
A heartfelt thank you goes to Montu Makadia Ji and K Sridhar from the Semiconductor Fabless Accelerator Lab
(SFAL) for delivering a special session on the future of semiconductor technology. Their insightful session, coupled with a tour of SFAL startups, provided invaluable exposure to the professors.
I would also like to extend special thanks to Prof Dr. Shylashree N and Ayan Datta for recommending VLSI System Design (VSD) to conduct a rich hands-on session on semiconductor and
RISC-V technology, using the VSDSquadron Mini boards and open-source EDA tools. The impact of these lab-intensive programs cannot be overstated, as they are crucial in cultivating the next generation of semiconductor talent.
Read blog for more details and please stay tuned for more exciting updates and important announcements from VSD. Together, we can continue to shape the future of semiconductor education through such transformative, hands-on initiatives.
