Vision - For last 4-years (before pandemic), VLSI System Design (aka VSD) had tough time explaining power of cloud based hardware design programs using commercial tools

 

Reality - Fast-forward today, a Big Thanks to Synopsys Inc , Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad and semiconductor student community, we designed 248 circuits in span of 2-weeks. Unbelievable. Some of them, if nurtured well, has a potential to go to next level

 

During today's closing ceremony, all participants and organizers had a different belief system for student community who were largely ignored (due to lack of experience in industry), that this community has a huge potential for nation building and be the torch bearer of future chip design industry. Everyone was proud about doing their bit for their nation and everyone was excited about the future

 

Its time to take cloud based hardware design hackathon at much global level and providing chip design platform for bright talents in rural and tier2/3 cities, thereby creating jobs and opportunities for much needed semiconductor industry globally. Read blog for more details
